The Cowboy Wok (otherwise known as a Discada) gets its name from the shallow, contoured disc-shaped pan that provides a large cooking surface, heats quickly, and holds its temperature. It was historically used for dishes such as paella, carne asada with fresh tortillas, and big mix-it-all-together breakfasts in cowboy country.

The Barebones Cowboy Wok is crafted from durable low-carbon rolled steel with twisted, hand-forged steel handles. This 15" diameter is ideal for cooking for a small group while camping or on the go. Added steel stand adds cooking options, and canvas/cotton carry bag makes quick work of packing and travel.

• Carbon steel combines the best characteristics of stainless steel and cast iron
• Natural nonstick coating improves with age and care
• Quick heating qualities and temperature retention
• Cook safely over a variety of heat sources: wood, charcoal, or gas stovetop
• 1.5 mm nitride carbon steel
• Twisted, forged steel handles
• 15" (380 mm) diameter
• 0.5" depth from edge to center
• Carry bag and steel stand included

Similar to cast iron, carbon steel needs very little daily maintenance. Simply rinse, heat, and re-oil.

•Gently clean the surface using warm water and a rag or brush with soft bristles. Do not use a steel scrubber to clean.
•Dry the surface with a clean towel.
•Place on stove top and turn heat to low to remove any remaining moisture.
•Once fully dried, turn off heat and coat the surface evenly with a thin layer of olive oil, avocado oil, or other.

Store in a cool, dry place when not in use. Wipe down after use to prevent rust.
